Brookside Student writes a Blog about their Salmon Hatchery
This was sent to me by Larry the Teacher of the Class hosting one of the Hatcheries.
Our fish have finally all hatched! They are all swimming around in the bottom of the fishtank. Yesterday we saw a fish that had hatched, but didn’t come out right. It was all rolled up in a ball. Our teacher doesn’t think that it will make it. We
took the front piece of bristol board off because the fish were getting used to the light. We can now see them swim around the bottom of the tank. The frys are about 3 to 5 centimeters long. I actually watched an egg hatch. A head popped out, then a tail and the egg turned into a fry! We can’t wait for them to get bigger and see how they digest their egg. We are all happy that our fish have arrived and hatched. Our fish have now become a part of our class!
