I re-started the Lake Huron Fishing Club In-Class School Salmon Hatchery Program in 2010-11 with 1 School, in 2011-12 we had 3 and in 2012-13 we had 10 Schools, in 2013-14 we had 17 Schools, in 2014-15 we had 21 Schools, Started a partnership with Bluewater Anglers and their 3 schools, United Fish and Game Clubs of Manitoulin and their 1 School, Sydenham Sportsmen Association and 2 of their 4 Schools and BPSA with 1 of SSA school in partnership with LHFC.

Walkerton Sacred Heart High School Salmon Stocking & Hatchery Tour May 4-12
The students were very interested in what Garry had to say about the Hatchery & the Salmon Life cycle
After 2 days of stocking Salmon from the Port Elgin Hatchery there is only about 8 or 10,000 left in the one Tank
Who says Girls can't catch fish

Sacred Heart School Salmon Hatchery Stocking
The Weather was great & the Students enjoyed a day of helping out the Fisheries by Stocking the Chinook Salmon that they raised since last November & Touring the Port Elgin Salmon Hatchery with Garry Biederman as their Tour Guide, then a quick look at the Rainbows that were swimming around in the Port Elgin Town Pond behind the Hatchery.

Hillcrest Grade Jk/Sk & Grade 1/2 is the 2nd School to Stock their Salmon & Toured the Port Elgin Salmon Hatchery & what a beautiful day it was, the Rainbow Trout were even eating bugs behind the Hatchery in the Port Elgin Town Pond
